A StonkFun reward coin is a Token-2022 mint with a permanent 1% or 3% transfer tax. The tax is collected on every transfer, converted into the coin's quote asset, and paid pro-rata to holders. The quote can be a tokenized stock like NVDAX, a pre-IPO token, or a crypto asset like ZEC, XMR, or PEPE. Holding the coin means you are long the coin, long the quote, and earning the quote if the coin keeps trading.
Most coins do not keep trading. Two weeks ago, 45% of reward coins had traded in the last day. Today it is 15.6%, because the shelf grew from 8,000 coins to nearly 20,000 in the same two weeks.
